  • Mr. James Dowdell graduated from Harvard University in 2007 with a computer science degree. He is a seasoned software engineer (Java/Python/Scala/Javascript/C++) and has had a number of distinguished roles, including senior software engineer, data scientist, and manager, at several top technology companies including Microsoft, eBay, and Google. Recently he rediscovered his strong passion for teaching and hopes to transform Shengmeng Education Center into a launching pad for USACO rising stars and a center for training technical excellence. He looks forward to engaging new students who are eager to grow and excel in an environment where learning, questions, fun, participation, and some challenge, are all cultivated.

  • Mr. Leo Groner received a B.S. degree in mathematics and an M.S. degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). He worked at IBM for years as a computer programmer, manager and technology consultant. In recent years, Mr. Groner developed a passion for teaching and gained California teacher licenses for the subjects of mathematics, physics and computer sciences. He taught software development management at CMU Silicon Valley campus and also AP Computer Science at Daugherty Valley High School. He is now a part time computer science teacher in a high school. Mr. Groner has deep understanding of computer programming and taught computer programming in Snap, SAS, C++, Java, Javascript, HTML and Python.

  • Mr. Chungwei Chu has been a dedicated computer science teacher at Stratford Middle School and Discover Talent Education in Silicon Valley for last three years. He teaches Java Programming and AP Computer Science courses. He also taught Advanced Java Programming class at Harker High School. He was a seasoned software engineer and worked at AT&T, Intel and PayPal for 20 years, and recently found his new passion in teaching middle and high school students. He is an expert in computer programming in Java, Python, C++, PHP, CSS and HTML. Mr. Chu graduated from National Taiwan University and earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Santa Clara University. 

  • Dr. Yang is a scientist in a world-class research institution for over 10 years. He has been developing Python, C/C++, Matlab and Fortran codes for numerical modeling, signal processing, scientific data analysis and visualization, and artificial intelligence (AI). Recently he has been using deep learning methods to solve complex scientific problems. He taught many Python programming classes such as "Fun with Python", "Coding Games in Python", "Introduction to Python", "Python for USACO", "Python for Data Science", and "Python for  AI".
